Updated: Sep 26, 2022
The Interdisciplinary Environmental Association (IEA) and the Urban Environmental Studies Program at Birmingham-Southern College are hosting the 27th International Interdisciplinary Conference on the Environmental (IICE) from Thursday, October 6 – Friday, October 7, 2022. The 27th IICE will take place entirely online using Hopin, a virtual event platform. It will include individual research sessions, panel discussions, a keynote from American Environmental Activist Lois Gibbs, and virtual exposition booths. You can register as a virtual attendee (free) or choose to be an endorser by making a donation on the IEA’s website.
On Oct. 7, 2022, at 13:20 CDT Jeremy Robson, the Founder, Executive Producer & Host at Future Focus Films, will discuss how creative content and filmmaking can have an impact on how we think about today's environmental challenges. He says, “I believe that the main way we can improve our society and environment is by creating creativity!”. Presently, Future Focus Films is working with some of the world's leading startups, NGOs, companies, social movements, government organizations, and agencies to provide film production services on innovation and sustainability, focused on the future.

“Science and innovation can sometimes be quite overwhelming and seem like they are communicating in a completely different language,” says Robson. “Therefore, film can be quite an impactful medium to engage audiences previously not interested in these subjects."
Future Focus Films will also have a virtual exposition booth during the conference that will be open to the public and will include some of Jeremy's most watched YouTube videos. To attend the conference and listen to Jeremy Robson’s talk, register for the 27th IICE today! View the official conference program HERE.
